Last Saturday the 16th of May was an uncharacteristically warm and sunny day in San Francisco... It was perfect for a day out in the sun, which was precisely what we did, participating in the Asian Heritage Street Celebration!
NAAAP-SF participated with two booths. A big group of NAAAP-SF volunteers came to run a craft booth for children, where kids and adults alike ate candy and colored in fun pictures of their zodiac signs. It was a great time for all.
A special thank you to our volunteers who helped make 100s of kids' days: Adrian Ku, Vivien Dinh, Jason Zhu, Lu Yin, Lena Rungnapa, James Wang, Yi Bing Shi, Sandy Wu, Jimmy Tam, Chris Yeo, and Haywood Ho.
NAAAP-SF was also represented with an informational booth, where 100's of passers by learned about NAAAP-SF's mission to develop leaders in the Asian American Community and the opportunities to become involved and develop their leadership skills.
Thank you to Judy Lao for organizing the great event, and to Derek Choy, Raymond Luk, Wendy Kai-Sung, Tammy Dang and George Su for their help on the day.
