On Thursday the 21st of May, NAAAP-SF hosted Elizabeth Xu, who spoke about her Ten Steps To A Successful Career.
It was a fantastic discussion which covered assessing your personal values, defining your goals, and pitfalls for Asian Americans in the workplace.
The analogy of the rubber ball among four glass balls compared the resilience of career amidst other important parts of our lives. The goal of four Ls- Live, Love, Learn, and Legacy also captured the audience's attention.
It took a bit of initiative to go out for a career event after a long day, but this was definitely an inspiring event among an intimate gathering with a lot of time for Q&A.
Thanks to Elizabeth for such an inspiring talk, and to Bao Li and Lilis Bumgardner for putting on the event.
