Over 460 professionals convened in Denver, Colorado for 4 days packed with networking, leadership workshops, and career fairs. Yul Kwon, the first Asian American winner of CBS's Reality Show 'Survivor', helped to kick off the 23rd Annual NAAAP Convention during the Opening Plenary by speaking about challenges and stereotypes he encountered growing up as an ethnic minority and sharing his experiences while being recruited and later casted on Survivor.
In addition, participants attended various workshops geared towards leadership and professional development while attending the career fair to meet Corporate Sponsors such as Dell Computers, Raytheon, Macys, McDonalds, MillerCoors, Medtronic, Gilead Sciences, Sears Holdings, and many more.
Thank you to all NAAAP members and Corporate Sponsors for attending. And more importantly, save the date for the 24th Annual NAAAP Convention in San Francisco! Aug 12-14, 2010 at The Palace Hotel in downtown San Francisco.
