We participated in an enlightening leadership seminar led by Kimi Hirotsu Ziemski, PMP of the Project Management Institute. We completed a 3-part workshop on leadership, set self-improvement goals for ourselves, and even picked an accountability partner to keep us on track!
Through our workshop, we developed the following:
• A clear definition of leadership
• A clear statement of the value of leadership to you
• A clear statement of the value of leadership to your organization
• A clear statement of the value of leadership to your future – and ours
Leadership is one of those wonderful capacities that is the result of the alchemy of who you are, what you've learned and how you use it. It is also a professional deliverable that is invaluable - and often devalued. The impulse to miss the opportunity to gently market the benefit of your leadership must be resisted - in fact should be vigorously quashed.
