Christopher Do - Chairman of SF Board

Christopher Do

Christopher Do is the Chairman of the Board for NAAAP-SF.  In this role, he will lead the Board in their efforts to grow and develop leaders within the local Asian professional community.

Mr.  Do is a Vice President-Investments and head of The Do Group at UBS in San Francisco. The Do Group is responsible for helping wealthy families with financial planning, tax minimization strategies, estate planning, residential & commercial loans, life insurance, and portfolio management. Prior to joining UBS, Mr. Do was a Vice President and ran a successful private client practice over at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Do has also held senior positions on the institutional side with many of the top New York banks. His experience includes investment banking, sales and trading, and portfolio management. Notably, he personally managed an institutional investment portfolio in excess of 20 billion dollars for the likes of the State of Washington Investment Board, All State Insurance, and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Mr. Do began his career in 1992 in the fixed income derivatives group at Salomon Brothers, run by Myron Scholes, the Nobel prize winner and developer of the Black Scholes option pricing model. Mr. Do graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 with a Systems Engineering Degree, along with a Management degree and a Finance degree from the Wharton School of Business.

Mr. Do is passionate about supporting the non-profit community here in the Bay Area. He is on the Advisory Board of Directors for Junior Achievement in San Francisco as well as the Beacon's homeowner's association board, which is the largest condo complex in San Francisco. He is also the founder of the Northern California chapter of UPAAN (University of Pennsylvania Asian Alumni Association). He is also a past member of the Board of Directors of ASCEND San Francisco-Bay Area, a professional organization focused on the development and advancement of accounting and finance professionals.

While not working 24/7 for his clients and non-profit endeavors, Mr. Do enjoys traveling, collecting fine wines, and cooking for friends.


John Fok - SF Board

John Fok

John Fok was the NAAAP National President and Chairman of the Board from 2006-2008. He has been active in NAAAP since 1992 serving various roles. John is an industry consultant and specialist on slip-fall prevention and safety. Other areas of expertise include product development, business strategy, and marketing.

John has worked in several industries including hospitality, engineering, hazardous waste recycling, and computers. Long term projects and assignments have taken him to China, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and Italy. Past projects and achievements include the construction and operational launch of a hotel in China, the financing, construction, and management of a used oil recycling facility, and the design and production of a computer aided drafting system. He currently working with a bioscience company with a new technology platform based on natural plant extracts.


Robert Chin - SF Board

Robert Chin

Robert is a trial lawyer, in private practice, with 30+ years of Civil Litigation experience throughout California State and Federal Courts, in Personal Injury, Insurance, Construction Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, Contracts, Commercial Leasing Litigation and Commercial Litigation Matters. Robert has received a distinguished AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is a graduate of USF Law School.

Robert was a guest speaker at the 10 day May, 2010 Corpus Operis International Symposium on Workforce Sustainability in Berlin, Casekow, Germany at the 16th Century Schloss Wartin Castle on the subject of Employment Law and Litigation and participated in the European Yale Univerisity Alumni Workforce Weekend at the Schloss Wartin Castle. Corpus Operis is a sector-bridging community dedicated to advancing the New Workforce Economy, and is comprised of the globe’s leading professionals participating in the economic transformation at the intersection of workforce, economic policy, and innovation.  Situated near the border between Germany and Poland, the European Academy at Schloss Wartin Castle has welcomed over 2,000 students as guests, most of whom representing Freie Universät (Germany), Yale University (USA), the University of Cambridge (UK), Stettin University (Poland), Greifswald University (Germany) and the Institut des Sciences Politiques Paris (France).  The European Academy has become a center for cultural, political and environmental activities. Scholars, artists, politicians and business leaders from around the world descend on the castle grounds to make a difference in their respective fields. Approximately 15,000 visitors and guests have made the journey to Wartin in recent years to organize, participate and share in a truly unique environment.

Mark Trang - SF Board

With nearly 15 years of experience in enterprise software, Mark has launched and scaled successful products and businesses at top cloud computing and software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies. Most recently, Mark started SocialPandas as CEO and Co-Founder. SocialPandas is a seed-stage Social CRM startup that is building applications to help companies manage and monetize social traffic from social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn. Previously, Mark was VP and General Manager of Platform Technologies & Ecosystem at LivePerson (Nasdaq: LPSN), the market leader for live chat solutions for sales and customer service. Reporting to the CEO, Mark was responsible for launching LivePerson's platform business and building the partner ecosystem and developer community around LivePerson products, platform technologies, and APIs. In less than 18 months, LivePerson’s platform business became the fastest-growing new product line in company history. He also built out and opened LivePerson’s San Francisco SOMA office. Mark also led worldwide partner programs and AppExchange marketing at cloud computing leader Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) where he was responsible for helping entrepreneurs, ISVs, and systems integrators build successful businesses in the cloud as salesforce.com partners. This included launching the Force.com cloud platform in 2007, building the ecosystem of over 500 commercial partners and 250,000 developers building on Force.com, and marketing over 1000 partner solutions on the AppExchange marketplace to salesforce.com's global customer base. Mark also published a book "Reach for the Cloud", a practical guide for entrepreneurs building a cloud computing business. Prior to joining salesforce.com, Mark was co-founder and VP Product Management at CogentWare, a SaaS startup. He was also a founding employee and led product marketing at SupplyAccess, a venture-backed supply chain software company. He began his career at Deloitte Consulting where he implemented enterprise software technologies for Fortune 500 companies. Mark graduated as a Regents Scholar with a B.A. in political science from UCLA and a M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Mark has served on the board of directors for the SIIA Software Division and is an accomplished speaker on cloud computing, having presented at some of the industry's most popular business and technology conferences including Web 2.0 Expo, TiECon, Dreamforce, SIIA On-Demand, Cloud Connect, SaaS Economics. Mark is active in a variety of non-profit and alumni organizations and serves as a mentor for the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship and UCLA Anderson’s Asian Management Student Association. He is also a host for Drink for a Cause, one of the longest running monthly charity social events for professionals in San Francisco.


Ray Ju - SF Board

Ray Ju has been active in the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 1987 and certified as PMP #560. He serves on the Board of the PMI San Francisco Bay Area Chapter as Past President and has been involved with PMI globally as VP of Membership in the IT Specific Interest Group, and Professional Development in the Global Diversity Community of Practice. Ray has facilitated the launch of collaborative partnerships between NAAAP and PMI chapters in cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Toronto. He has provided PMI presenters, a keynote speaker and sponsorship at the 2010 San Francisco and 2011 Boston, NAAAP national conferences. As a senior level practitioner, Ray has led high performance global teams from Silicon Valley, Siena and Shanghai in the health care, insurance, life sciences, non-profit, high tech, government, finance and telecom sectors. Currently at Sutter Health, California Pacific Medical Center he is a key contributor on the Integrated Project Delivery Team in the IT infrastructure design of a $2B multi-site medical facilities construction project. Additionally as a customer technology advocate on the Quality Delivery System program, he applies the Toyota Lean Production Manufacturing methodology to eliminate waste and improve workflow processes to provide positive patient experiences and outcomes across the operational and business enterprise. Ray is a life long learner with dual Masters in Business Administration and Leadership, certified as a Scrum Master and licensed as a General Contractor. He instructs at the University of California Berkeley Extension’s, Project Management program and developed the distance learning Project Management course at San Diego State University’s, Masters of Regulatory Affairs program. He is frequently invited to speak at international conferences, for PMI and through his management consulting practice.


Antoine Duong - SF Board

Antoine Duong is a Product Manager at VMware, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA, responsible for the development, launch, pricing, communication, enhancement and end of life for the portfolio of Support Offerings in the VMware Global Support Services division. Prior to VMware, Antoine held various positions in Program Management, M&A integration, Support Readiness, NPI at Cisco, Sun, and Apple.

Antoine's involvement with non-profit organizations includes organizing, hosting, and helping many successful events for The Wheelchair Foundation, VNHelp, Red Cross, and so on.

When not working, Antoine enjoys his hobbies including teaching karate and kickboxing at Apple, photography, playing piano and electronic keyboard.
